Peter Preziosi, PhD, RN, CAE, joined Verizon’s Innovation Incubator Group as Global Healthcare Strategist in April 2011. In that role, he helps to shape Verizon’s global research, development, and engagement strategies in the healthcare space. This includes management of strategic partnerships and alliances with relevant brand companies who are uniquely engaged in disruptive innovation. Preziosi is strategically focused on collaborative business models and commercial opportunities that drive long-term consumer engagement with technology.
Preziosi has worked over 20 years on healthcare reform efforts and in building public/private partnerships in national organizations including CEO of the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity and executive-level positions at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the National League for Nursing and the AMDEC Foundation, a New York State biomedical research consortium. He also worked for the City of New York’s Health & Hospitals Corporation and directed the Mayor’s Office of Medicaid Managed Care. Preziosi holds a PhD and MGA in Health Policy and Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, an MEd from Columbia University’s Teachers College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University.
