Nicole Pardo is a physician entrepreneur, technology innovator and business consultant with a 12 year record of success and accomplishment in the medical and life science industry. Nicole was trained as a physician at El Bosque University, Bogota-Colombia. She holds both a Master in Health Care Management and a Master in Business Administration from Globe University/Minnesota School of Business. She is an Alumni of University of Minnesota Medical Devices Center Fellows Program where she helped to develop multiple projects in the areas of cardiovascular, neurology, infectious diseases, urology, pulmonology and endosurgery, which resulted in more than 50 invention disclosures, 10+ patent applications and one startup company: Remind Technologies Inc., for which she serves as President and CEO.
She is an expert in technology assessment, valuation, licensing and business development. She has experience bridging the gap between inventors/scientist and R&D teams to provide solutions in the form of medical devices to solve unmet patient needs.
Currently, Dr. Pardo is focused on creating and developing technologies to solve “Medication Adherence”, a problem that costs the American Healthcare system $290+ billion per year. Her company, Remind Technologies, is developing an innovating provider driven, Health IT platform, to help patients, caregivers and medical teams to improve patient management and medications adherence.
Nicole is also interested in developing diverse technologies that can help solve medical problems that affect the quality of life for patients around the world. Dr. Pardo believes that affordable health care solutions are possible and are the future of a more balanced health care system. Dr. Pardo has been selected as one of the recipients of the North Texas Women in Technology Awards 2014 by the Dallas Business Journal.
