Dr. Omar Matuk-Villazon is an Assistant Medical Director at Legacy Community Health Services. He earned his Medical Degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and complete his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Matuk is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Faculty of Homeopathy in London.
Prior to joining Legacy, Dr. Matuk provided primary care to underserved populations in Mexico City. He holds a dual perspective as a practicing physician and health care entrepreneur with strategic thinking and strong clinical skills. He founded HELCO in 2008, a contract research organization that provides health economic evaluations to government and private companies; being one of the few in Latin-American.
Dr. Matuk enjoys his clinical practice, and his interests include health informatics, mobile health, integrative medicine and access to healthcare in the Hispanic population.
