Brian is a serial entrepreneur and a health innovation strategist for large healthcare organizations. In Houston he is the local Chapter Head for Health 2.0, and recently served as Chief City Architect for the Energizing Health event sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation and the Texas Medical Center.

He was also this year’s co-chair of the 5th Annual International Conference on Biomedical Ontology held in Houston recently with the University of Texas’ School of Biomedical Informatics. This past February he produced the JSC Space Health Innovation Challenge held at Rice University – a weekend hackathon that paired NASA researchers with MDs, computer programmers, informatics professionals, and biotech students.

Annually he serves as “head coach” for companies competing in the Accelerator at SXSW Interactive in Austin, for SXSW V2V in Las Vegas, and for the AARP Heath Innovation@50+ Pitch Competition. In March 2015 he is producing the Impact Pediatric Health pitch event at SXSW, sponsored by the four largest pediatric hospitals in the nation.
