The economic vitality of cities and their business communities are increasingly driven by a highly educated, creative and innovative workforce and by the ability of its citizens to create, commercialize, extend and absorb innovation.
Cities with a creative, diverse, highly skilled and innovative citizenry are more competitive, prosperous, create a fertile environment for sustainable growth and are more resistant to recessionary shocks. For companies and cities, this translates into higher revenues and economic expansion.
This year’s inaugural event focuses on increasing the intellectual energy across all of Houston’s tech community – developers, designers, engineers, doctors, researchers, educators, technologist, makers, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, students, organizations, start-ups and established companies.
Industry practitioners, subject matter experts, and experienced speakers are invited to submit an abstract up to 800 words describing the details of your presentation. We are seeking presentation proposals for roundtables, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and hands-on developer sessions. We are also accepting fresh ideas, novel ideas and new topics. So, in addition to the suggested topics below, we welcome you to surprise us.
All topics and submission formats are open to both research and industry contributions. Topics to be addressed include (but are not limited to):
